We have over 26 years of Dragway History in Warwick

1996

In the Beginning

The start of the Warwick Dragway organisation begins with 3 on-the-street meetings on East Street in Warwick, QLD introducing Drag racing to the Rose City.
2000

Warwick Dragway Opens

Warwick Dragway officially opens at its new home at Morgan Park, QLD and we welcome Dragfest to Warwick Dragway for the first time which still continues to this day.
2007

VWs Arrive

After seven years of drag racing at our Morgan Park home, we welcome VWs to begin racing bringing a new experience to racers and spectators at the Warwick Dragway.
2012

Six Bangers Begin

After twelve years of drag racing at our Morgan Park home, we welcome the Six Bangers to begin racing bringing a new experience to racers and spectators at the Warwick Dragway.
2020

Major Upgrade Project Approved

Warwick Dragway is successful in securing $1.9 million from the Scott Morrison Government to upgrade the facility to National Event Level.
2021

The Upgrade Begins

Warwick Dragway begins upgrading the facility to a National Event Level track by incorporating a Quarter Mile track with upgraded lighting and a new PA system.
2022

Progress Made on Upgrade

Despite several setbacks due to the continual notorious bad weather throughout 2022, the work on the upgrade pushes on and alot of progress is made.
2023

National Event Level Upgrade Completed

An upgraded Warwick Dragway will re-open as a National Event Level venue with a new Quarter Mile track and upgraded spectator facilities.
